General
Ad Sets/Groups, a required step in the social campaign workflow, is where you can connect your Flight Control campaign to external social media campaigns from Meta, TikTok, or YouTube advertising accounts.
The Ad Sets/Groups table displays these synchronized ad sets/groups and their targeting parameters.
Prerequisite
- Add your Meta, TikTok, or YouTube advertising account within Flight Control in Account > Integrations. For more information, see Integrations Overview.
Syncing with Ad Sets/Groups
Syncing Meta Ad Sets
- Click Add.
- Select a Meta account.
- For dynamic product ad (DPA) Meta campaigns, the dropdown only displays accounts that have campaigns with Sales objectives.
- Select a Meta campaign.
- For dynamic product ad (DPA) Meta campaigns, the dropdown only displays campaigns with Sales objectives.
- Click OK.
- This process can take a few seconds. Once finished, all connected Meta campaign ad groups will be displayed.
Syncing TikTok Ad Groups
- Click Add.
- Select a TikTok account.
- Select a TikTok campaign.
- Click OK.
- This process can take a few seconds. Once finished, all connected TikTok campaign ad groups will be displayed.
Syncing YouTube Ad Groups
- Click Add.
- Select a YouTube account.
- Select a YouTube campaign.
- Click OK.
- This process can take a few seconds. Once finished, all connected YouTube campaign ad groups will be displayed.
Sync with Snapchat Ad Sets
- Click Add.
- Select a Snapchat account.
- Select a Snapchat campaign.
- Click OK.
- This process can take a few seconds. Once finished, all connected Snapchat campaign ad sets will be displayed.
Sync with LinkedIn Campaigns
- Click Add.
- Select a LinkedIn ad account.
- Select a LinkedIn campaign group.
- Click OK.
- This process can take a few seconds. Once finished, all connected LinkedIn campaigns will be displayed.
Table Columns
| Name | Description |
| Ad Sets/Groups | Displays the name and ID of the synced ad set/group. |
| Ad Set/Group Status |
Displays the status of the ad set or group within the social media advertising account (active or inactive). Note: You can still publish ads to inactive ad sets or groups. However, the ad sets, or groups, must be initially configured within their respective social media advertising account. |
| Start Date | Meta campaigns only. Displays the start date of the ad set. |
| End Date | Meta campaigns only. Displays the end date of the ad set if applicable. |
| Locations | Displays the targeted location(s) for the ad set/group. |
| Age |
Displays the targeted age range. Note: This is configured within your respective social media advertising account. |
| Gender |
Displays the targeted gender. Note: This is configured within your respective social media advertising account. |
| Account Name | Displays the name and ID of the social advertising account. |
| Campaign | Displays the name and ID of the external social media campaign. |
| Campaign Status |
Displays the status of the external social media campaign (active or inactive). Note: This is configured within your respective social media advertising account. |
Note: You can click the gear icon to reorder or hide table columns and group table rows by campaign. For more information on Flight Control tables, see Flight Control Table Functionality.
Table Actions
Click Actions to use the following options:
| Action | Description |
| Synchronize Ad Sets/Groups |
Updates the selected campaign ad sets/groups according to their current configurations in the connected social media advertising account. If no campaign is selected, this action will update all ad sets/groups included in the campaign. |
| Remove Ad Sets/Groups |
Removes the selected ad sets/groups from the campaign. Note: This action doesn't remove/delete the ad sets/groups from the social media campaign; it only removes the synchronization with the Flight Control campaign. |
| Export to Excel |
Exports the selected ad sets/groups to an Excel (XLSX) file.
