General
Foursquare (FSQ) is a foot traffic measurement service, allowing advertisers to connect offline store visits to advertising campaigns.
The Foursquare integration allows Clinch to fire their impression pixel during ad-serving and later receive foot traffic attribution for users who viewed the ads and visited the advertiser’s venues or stores.
The attribution measurement report is sent from FSQ directly to the advertiser.
Note: This is a premium service that may incur additional charges.
Limitations
- Not all DSPs allow Foursquare (FSQ) pixels to be fired.
- For in-app placements, depending on the DSP and campaign type, the DSP might not send the mobile advertising ID.
- This integration doesn’t apply to social campaigns.
Enabling the Foursquare Foot Traffic Measurement Integration in Your Account
- Go to Account > Integrations.
- Click Add and select Foursquare.
Activating the Foursquare Service in Your Campaign
- Toggle the Foursquare Service in your campaign's homepage.
- Note: This option is available only for programmatic campaigns and only if the integration is already added at the account level.
- Enter the campaign PLAID. Contact your Foursquare account manager to set up a campaign in Foursquare and obtain the PLAID.
- Note: For digital out-of-home campaigns, set the PLAID to "DOOH".
- Click Add Integration.
Note: Once enabled, if you check the browser console, you may see the pixel being fired with the domain p.placed.com.
