General
Integral Ad Science (IAS) is a digital ad-verification company focused on verifying ads are viewable by real people in safe and suitable environments. The IAS integration within Flight Control eliminates the multi-step manual process of wrapping ad-serving tags, thereby reducing human error.
This document provides step-by-step instructions on how to create and manage an account integration and enablement between IAS and Clinch Ad Tags within Flight Control.
Step 1: Obtain your IAS "Team ID" and "ADVID" Number
- The IAS Team ID is the equivalent of the Advertiser Account on the IAS platform.
- The IAS ADVID number is the campaign ID on IAS's platform.
Getting the IAS Team ID and ADVID Number
- In the IAS Portal, click Campaigns > Campaign Setup.
- Reference the Team ID (located on the top right corner of the page).
- Reference the ADVID number (located below the Campaign Name). Click the copy icon to copy the ADVID number.
Step 2: Connect an IAS Advertiser Account with Flight Control
- On the left main menu, click on Account > Integrations.
- Click Add and select IAS Integration.
- Enter the client IAS Team ID > enter an Account Name > click Add.
Note: The account will be listed in the Integrations table with a "Pending" status until IAS approves the request.
Important:
- IAS will approve the link request within one business day, and then your IAS team and Flight Control accounts will be linked
- To save time and avoid the approval process, you can partner with your IAS CSM team to pre-map accounts in the IAS Signal platform under each respective team. Linking in Flight Control will still be required, but will speed up the linkage time, as it will already be pre-approved by IAS
- Note: This step has to be completed and approved before you'll be able to continue to the next step of campaign level enablement
Step 3: Enable IAS Service in a Campaign
All programmatic campaigns are potentially eligible for automated tag wrapping within Flight Control, once IAS is enabled at the account level. However, the feasibility of inventory type support for campaigns must be considered.
Inventory types supported within Flight Control for IAS wrapping are display, video (not OTT/CTV), interactive video, and in-banner video.
The following steps will walk you through enabling IAS as a service in a Flight Control campaign:
- Open the Campaign Card Settings > click Campaign Services > enable IAS by toggling to the "on" position.
- Select the Team ID > enter the Client IAS ADVID under IAS Campaign ID > click Add Integration
- When the campaign setup is finalized, download or publish the tags to the DSP just like you do with any other campaign. This will automatically trigger the wrapping process.
Note: Due to the wrapping process which involves API calls to IAS, the download or publishing of the tags might take longer than usual. Flight Control will let you know once the tags are ready.

Tag Support
-
Tags wrapping will fail if the selected Publisher/DSP in the Placement in Flight Control is not mapped in the IAS platform. You will receive a 'Tag wrapping error' in the Tag download/publish process with the exact issue to resolve. See screenshot below
Note: All placements’ wrapping in the campaign should be successful for the tags to be retrieved.
Solution Types
- Blocking vs. Monitoring: Both Blocking and Monitoring solutions are supported. Tag wrapping rules operating at the media partner level will first default to Media Partner Profile settings, then honor client preferences in their Agreement Template.
- Display vs. Video: Both Display and Video solutions are supported. Video wrapping solutions will be assigned at the media partner level, defaulting to Media Partner Profile settings.
Operational Notes
- Flight Control campaigns cannot be associated and linked to multiple IAS campaigns, but it is possible to link multiple Flight Control campaigns to a single IAS campaign.
- It may take up to 2 hours for changes in blocking settings of an IAS campaign to take effect.
- Changing Media Partner settings from Blocking to Monitoring or vice versa requires the affected tags to be re-trafficked.
- Many-to-many linkages are supported. If you want to link multiple IAS teams to a single Flight Control account OR link multiple Flight Control accounts to a single IAS team, please reach out to your IAS rep.
