Dashboard Widgets

General

Dashboard widgets are infographics that can be added to a dashboard to visualize performance data. 

Widget Style Type & Features

*When adding this Widget Style, it provides the option to display performance data by ‘time’ (Day, Week, & Month)

Adding a Widget to a Dashboard

Click Actions > Create Analytics Widget 

1. Select a chart style from the list.
2. Enter a Name for the widget.
3. Select an event type for the widget: Ad Engagement Events or Website/App/Offline 1st-Party Events.
4. Select the desired dimensions.  
   • Note: selecting dimensions for a Line, Bar, or Horizontal Bar chart is optional. When dimensions are not selected, the metrics selected will display over time, at the account level.
5. Metrics: Select the desired metrics. 
6. Add Filter (optional): Apply a Filter to narrow down the results. Example, show data just for Video ads campaigns, or show data for CTV environment, etc.  
7. Preview: This section populates after you finish your selections and shows you the widget preview.
8. Click Submit.

Widget Actions

1. Rearrange Widgets

   • Hover on the top of the widget until the mouse cursor changes to a ‘hand’ icon > drag + drop the widget to the desired area.

2. Resize a Widget

   1. Hover over the widget to reveal the ‘resizing’ icon in its bottom right corner.
   2. Click and drag the ‘resizing’ icon to adjust the widget size.

3. Edit a Widget

   1. Hover over a widget and click the vertical ellipsis that appears. 
   2. Click Edit Analytics Widget.
      • This opens the Edit Analytics Widget modal, where you can change the chart style, name, dimensions, metrics, and filters.
        • Note: Widgets in the "Default Dashboard" can't be edited.

4. Export a Widget to PDF

   • Click the ‘vertical ellipsis’ icon on the widget you wish to download > select ‘Export to PDF’ or ‘Export to CSV’ (available only for chart style ‘table’).

5. Open a Widget in the Metrics Page

   • This action opens the selected widget in the Metrics page.  Click the ‘vertical ellipsis’ icon on the widget > select ‘Open in Metrics page’. 
   • This feature is also available in the opposite direction, where the user sets up a view on the Metrics Page and then chooses to  ‘Create as a Dashboard widget’.
   • Note: This option is not available for Card, Table, and Map Widget Type.

6. Delete a Widget

   • Click the ‘vertical ellipsis’ icon on the widget you wish to delete > select 'Remove Widget'
