Importing Adobe After Effects Compositions into Flight Control with Jet by Clinch

Using the Jet by Clinch extension (available for free in the Adobe Exchange), you can export an Adobe Effects creative composition as a ZIP file and use it in a Flight Control creative template's composition.

Import an After Effects Composition into Flight Control

Step 1: Download the Jet by Clinch Extension

If you haven't downloaded the Jet by Clinch extension already:

1. Go to the Jet by Clinch page on the Adobe Exchange website.
2. Click Free to download the extension.
   • You may need to sign in to your Adobe account before downloading.

Step 2: Open Jet by Clinch in After Effects

While Adobe After Effects is open on your computer:

1. Open the relevant After Effects project.
   • If the project is new, be sure to save it before opening the Jet extension. Otherwise, the Jet modal will display an error message.
2. Go to Window > Extensions > Jet by Clinch.

Step 3: Export the Project Composition as a ZIP File

1. Select a template type from the dropdown.
   • This helps to ensure your exported creative composition is properly formatted for your desired creative template type. (Examples: Preventing multiple video layers in an interactive video creative template or a video layer in an HTML creative template.)
     • Important: Social campaign creatives can only be images or videos.
2. Click Export.
   • The Export Project window will display, and your composition will be downloaded as a ZIP file to your local device.

Now, you can import this ZIP file into a creative template when adding new formats in the template's homepage and the template's Build step.

Note: Flight Control will automatically detect the fonts used in your compositions.
