General
The Assets Panel serves as a centralized repository for uploading, storing, and accessing all assets related to the creative template. Asset types are shapes, fonts (Text), images, videos, and audio.
These assets can be placed onto the design board, turning them into layers. Currently, Ad Builder supports the following file types:
- Font: TTF, OTF, WOFF/WOFF2, and TTC.
- Image: PNG, GIF (converted to APNG), JPG, and SVG. (A 10 MB file size limit exists.)
-
Video: MP4, GIF (converted to WEBM), MOV (converted to MP4), and WEBM.
- Note: GIF files are usually used for video with an alpha channel (transparency).
- Audio: WAV, MP3, FLAC, OGG, and M4A.
Adding Assets
In the Ad Builder, the types of assets you can upload depend on the template type. For instance, the option to upload video assets is only available for video, in-banner video, and interactive video template types.
Uploading Image, Video, and Audio Assets
The Image, Video, and Audio sections display their respective uploaded files using a card view (). Each card provides a thumbnail preview of the asset and additional actions upon hovering over it.
To help manage larger sets of files, a file structure view () is available, where assets can be organized into folders for easier navigation and management. It replicates a typical file system hierarchy within the panel. Additionally, you can search for an asset by name using the search bar or filter assets by file type and/or extension.
To add assets and folders:
Once uploaded to the Assets Panel, the files are stored under their corresponding asset type. You can double-click or drag and drop the asset to add it as an Image, Video, or Audio layer in your composition. Important: To ensure GIF/APNG images remain animated when used as layers in your composition, meaning they play all frames correctly when rendered, use the Stretch resize option. This option prevents the image from being resized, preserving its animation. |
Uploading Font (Text) Assets
Once uploaded to the Assets Panel, the files are stored under their corresponding asset type. You can double-click the asset to add it as a Text layer in your composition. Tip: Drag and drop a font file into the Assets Panel to upload it. |
Deleting an Uploaded Asset
- Right-click on the asset and select Delete.
Assets Toolbar Filter
The Assets toolbar enables you to filter the uploaded assets and easily identify those that have been added to the composition, as well as those that have not.
