General
Campaign versions allow you to manage the lifecycle of a campaign from setup to launch safely and effectively. This solution allows you to prepare future versions of a running campaign and activate them when ready, without compromising the activity of the campaign's flight.
Version Status
A campaign version can have one of the following statuses in Flight Control:
| Version Status | Description | Options Available |
| Draft |
| Active |
Deactivated |
| Pending Activation |
This means that the version has been scheduled to automatically activate at a future date and time. |
Managing the Campaign Version
A campaign's version number is displayed in the campaign's Header. You can click the downward arrow icon () to see the current campaign version and take actions such as saving/locking the current version and creating/discarding a draft version. You can also see the campaign's past four versions, select a past version to view, and open the Version History pane.
Version History Pane
The latest version is always located on the top in the Version History pane.
All versions include the date and time the action was taken, the name of the person who took the action, the version that was used to create it, and when hovering over it, shows the number of placements in the version. Note: Versions that have a scheduled activation will display the date and time set for the activation. |

Social Campaigns
You can activate a social campaign version once you've published ads. For instructions on activating a social campaign, see Social Campaign Activation Workflow.
Important:
- All version statuses, excluding “Draft” are locked from editing, except for specific actions that do not affect the campaign’s logic:
- Card's name and description
- Output Names
- Placement Names
- Card reposition
- Feeds and creatives can't be deleted if they’re connected to an active campaign version or the latest version; it is advisable to take extra caution when editing feeds and creatives in such cases.
- For social campaigns, changes made to feeds and creatives used in an active or locked campaign version won't affect the live campaign.
- For programmatic campaigns that don't require video rendering, changes made to feeds and creatives used in an active or locked campaign version will affect the live campaign.
- For the latest version, a red dot will display next to the version name (e.g.,
) indicating that an Active version exists for the campaign. This is a reminder to activate the latest version.
