General
The Features Settings section within Account Settings is used to enable account-level features and services related to security, user identity, and analytics. Activating features and services at the account level lets you utilize them when creating campaigns.
Accessing Features Settings
To get to this area within the Flight Control UI:
- Navigate to Accounts > Settings.
- Select the Features Settings tab.
Security
- Multi-Factor Authentication: Enabling this security feature forces clients to undergo a multi-factor authentication process when signing into their Flight Control account.
-
Suspend Inactive Users: Enabling this feature suspends users' access to the account if they haven't accessed it for more than the set number of days. To prevent accidental suspension, users will receive an alert suggesting they access it to restart the timer.
- Note: Account admins can't be suspended, and they can remove users from suspension within Account > Users.
Internal Clinch Services
- IP2Location Service: Enabling this service allows you to determine user location with greater accuracy. This is important for campaigns that utilize location feeds to show the nearest stores/locations.
- Weather Services: Enabling this service allows you to utilize weather data in your Flight Control campaign set-up.
-
Sport Services: Enabling this service allows you to use third-party sports data in your Flight Control creatives and campaigns. It incurs additional costs for your account.
- Important: Activating Sport Services doesn't automatically grant rights to use official team names, logos, or images. Proper licensing is required for any official names, logos, images, or trademarks. If you don't have legal rights to use official team names and logos, you can reference teams by their location or team colors to align with the respective team or league brand identity.
-
Enable Media Cost: Enabling this service lets you track incurred media costs (costs to advertise).
- If Enable Media Cost is disabled, campaign CPM and "Finance" data displays disappear.
-
Conversion Attribution Using Clinch Click Id: Enabling this service helps to better measure click-through attribution.
- This service will automatically add a URL parameter to the landing page called "Clinch Click ID."
- This feature requires a Clinch pixel on the advertiser's website to be "script-based.'
- Remove Background from Product Feed Images: At an additional cost, enabling this service lets you remove backgrounds from images in a product feed. Once enabled, see the Product Feed Mapping Tab article to learn how to apply it to a product feed.
Analytics
-
VTC (View-Through Conversion) IN Total Sales:
- VTC occurs when someone sees your ad, doesn’t click on it, but later directly visits your website and converts to a lead or purchase.
- If enabled, sales metrics will include conversions that occur after impression only (VTC - View-Through Conversion).
- If disabled, sales metrics in analytics will only contain conversions that occur after clicks (CTC - Click-Through Conversions).
Categories
The Categories section lets you establish field names for campaign and creative tags. These field names will display within your account campaign and creatives, and you can insert values for them.
Campaign and creative tags are used for reporting.
User Identity & Profiling
The User Identity & Profiling section shows you what user identity and profiling capabilities are enabled for your account, which you may utilize in your campaigns. This section also displays information on enabled third-party sync pixels and how Clinch initiates their firing.
Note: Clinch account representatives enable and manage these settings for your account (within the "Clinch master account"). If you need any of these services enabled, please contact your account representative.
The following account user identity and profiling options exist:
-
User Profiling: Enabling User Profiling is required for storing data at the user profile level. This data is necessary for attribution, retargeting, user tagging, and using sequence cards.
- Note: Before activating a campaign, ensure that User Profiling is enabled for your account if you plan to use features such as attribution, retargeting, or user tags. Campaign conversions can't be tracked or reported retroactively without User Profiling enabled.
- Neustar Identity Sync Pixel in Ads: This feature injects a Neustar cookie sync pixel into ad creatives to support user identity matching. It triggers once per user every seven days in web environments within the U.S. and is excluded from DSPs that block third-party tracking.
- Neustar Identity Sync Pixel in Advertiser Website: This option triggers the Neustar sync pixel from the advertiser's website to facilitate cross-site identity linking. It activates once per user every 7 days, only on the web in the U.S., and requires prior written approval from the advertiser. The sync pixel is served via a Clinch redirect when needed.
- Intent IQ Identity Sync Pixel in Ads: Enabling this feature places an Intent IQ sync pixel inside ads to help map user identities. It fires once per user every 30 days in U.S.-based web environments only.
- Intent IQ Identity Sync Pixel in Advertiser Website: This setting activates an Intent IQ sync pixel on the advertiser’s website, aiding in cross-platform identity resolution. Like its ad-based counterpart, it fires once per user every 30 days on the web, in the U.S., and requires advertiser consent. Syncing occurs through a redirect triggered by Clinch.
- LiveRamp Realtime Identity in Ads: This feature uses LiveRamp's RTIS pixel to match Clinch web IDs to LiveRamp IDLs during ad impressions, enabling advanced cross-device user mapping. It fires once per user-device per month and is subject to DSP restrictions and internal per-impression checks. Written client approval is required, and additional Clinch charges may apply.
- LiveRamp Realtime Identity in Website: When active, this injects LiveRamp's RTIS pixel into the advertiser's website to sync user identifiers with LiveRamp's identity graph. It supports cross-device resolution and is cached for a minimum of one month per user-device. Written client consent and eligibility validation are both required before enabling.
- LiveRamp Graph Enrichment by Device Identifier MAID: This feature enhances user profiles by matching Mobile Advertising IDs (MAIDs) with LiveRamp’s identity graph. It boosts cross-device identity resolution and attribution accuracy, especially for in-app impressions by associating them with known RampIDs.
