General
This article provides an overview of Copilot's Operations capabilities.
Prerequisite
- Have an account admin enable OpenAI as a Large Language Model (LLM) provider in the AI Features & Vendors tab of your account's settings.
Prompt to Campaign Map Setup
Copilot allows users to build and manage complex campaign maps using natural language text or voice prompts. It is designed to handle sophisticated decisioning logic and data validation, significantly reducing the time required to build and maintain campaign maps within Flight Control.
Core Capabilities
- Creates campaign maps, including sophisticated decisioning logic such as scheduling and custom matching strategies.
- Audits data completeness by comparing feed versions against placement custom fields to identify missing or inconsistent information.
- Intelligently identifies and removes creative IDs that are no longer present in the product feed, ensuring maps remain up-to-date and accurate.
- Sets up campaigns with multiple cards based on the logic described in the user prompts.
- Creates placements based on details provided via user prompts or by reading from an uploaded Excel file.
- Updates existing maps: simply describe the required changes—such as swapping creative assets across multiple placements or renaming cards in bulk—and the agent will apply the updates.
- Allows users to ask about the campaign placements and provides information about placement configuration, such as the number of placements, DSPs, custom parameters, etc.
Known Constraints
- The application of specific social parameters to creative cards is not yet supported; this capability is planned for the future.
- Copilot is currently optimized for campaigns under 100 cards. Operations on high-volume campaigns exceeding this limit will be declined.
Excel Upload to Campaign Map
Copilot's Excel Upload to Campaign Map feature enables users to upload Excel spreadsheets ( .xls, .xlsx formats) containing campaign ad serving logic to build structured campaign maps in Flight Control.
With this capability, users can upload an Excel file with campaign activation details—such as schedules, audiences/placements, weighting, and corresponding creative IDs—and have Copilot intelligently parse the content, recognize relevant campaign parameters, and automatically generate a campaign map based on the uploaded data.
Note: Currently supported in programmatic campaigns only.
Recommended Excel Sheet format
To use the Excel Upload to Campaign Map feature most efficiently, ensure your spreadsheet includes the following:
- Placements / Audiences: A column indicating the intended placements or audiences.
- Creative IDs: Ideally, these should match assets available in the Creative Library; however, if creatives are not yet uploaded, you may include placeholder IDs in the spreadsheet. Copilot will reflect these as placeholder creative cards in the generated campaign map.
- Scheduling (Optional): If your campaign includes scheduling logic, include separate columns for:
- Start Date
- End Date
- Weighting (Optional): If your campaign assigns different weights to outputs to control how frequently each one is served relative to the others, include a column with the weights corresponding to each output.
Using the Excel Upload to Campaign Map feature
To create a campaign map through an Excel file upload:
- Click the + icon in the input box, then select the Upload File icon (
).
- Choose your Excel file containing campaign logic (e.g., schedules, audiences/placements, creatives), and then hit the Send button.
Once uploaded, Copilot will automatically process the file and generate a structured campaign map based on the contents.
Note: You may be asked some clarifying questions by Copilot based on the uploaded file, especially if there are duplicate column names or multiple columns containing placement/audience segmentation information. You can respond to these by typing in the prompt window or by using the voice-to-text prompt option.
