General
Custom parameters are a list of key-value parameters that are intended to be inserted as signals for the following purposes:
- Ad Decisioning: The custom parameter can be selected as a signal for condition cards and product selection cards.
- Ad Trafficking: Some custom parameters are used to inject values into creatives trafficked to DSPs like CM360, TTD, and more.
- Reporting: The custom parameter value can be selected in My Reports.
The custom parameters are categorized as follows:
- Other
- Location
- External Identifiers
- Product
- DoubleVerify
Note: Custom parameters don't affect campaign placement ad tags, so you don't need to republish the ad tags for custom parameters to take effect.
Custom Parameters: Custom
Creative Animation Loop Length
This parameter lets you set the animation length and ad-looping behavior of creatives served through a specific placement. The parameter can have one of the following values:
- No Animation: The ad will be static with no animation. If the creative template originally contains animation, it will pause on the first animation frame. This option is used rarely for placements that prohibit animation.
- 15 Seconds: Animates the ad for 15 seconds and pauses on the ending frame. Used for DSPs and placements that allow up to 15 seconds of animation.
- 30 Seconds (Default): Animates the ad for 30 seconds and pauses on the ending frame. This is used for most DSPs and placements.
- Loop Forever: Animation continues to loop forever. Used mainly for direct sales deals in placements that allow continuous animation.
Custom 1, Custom 2, and Custom 3
- Custom 1, 2, and 3 are free-form and can contain any value that classifies or tags a placement for reporting or creative decisioning purposes.
- You can forward Custom 1, 2, and 3 values to third-party trackers and the landing page URL by inserting the macros named Placement Custom Label 1, Placement Custom Label 2, and Placement Custom Label 3.
- Placement Custom 1, 2, and 3 can also be selected as dimensions in custom reports.
Custom Parameters: Location
Show Location ID
The location ID that will be shown for this placement.
- Applicable for campaigns with a Location Card when the location selection strategy is By Placement.
- Use this configuration if you want this placement to show a fixed location.
- The location ID must exist in the location feed selected in the location card.
Location Group ID
Shows a location only from this location group ID.
- Applicable for campaigns with a location card when the location selection strategy is Nearest.
- Requires the location feed to include a location group ID column.
- If configured, the Nearest selection strategy chooses a location only from the specified location group.
Custom Parameters: External Identifiers
External Campaign ID
- Associates a placement with an external campaign in a DSP or other external platform.
- This can be selected as a dimension in custom reports as Placement External Campaign ID.
External Site ID
- Associates a placement with an external publisher ID or DSP ID.
External Placement ID
- Associates the placement with a Placement ID in an external platform.
- When auto-trafficking to DV360 via API, this represents the CM360 Placement ID.
External Ad ID
- Associates the placement with an Ad ID in an external platform.
- When auto-trafficking to DV360 via API, this represents the CM360 Ad ID.
External Creative ID
- Associates the placement with a Creative ID in an external platform.
- When auto-trafficking to DV360 via API, this represents the CM360 Creative ID.
External Creative Name
- When using DV360 or The Trade Desk integrations, this can be used when publishing tags to customize the DSP creative name. The external name overrides the default DSP creative name.
- For display campaigns, you can use the {{size}} macro to control where the ad size appears within the name. When the macro is used, the ad size value replaces the macro within the configured name. If the macro is not used, Flight Control automatically appends the ad size value to the end of the configured name.
Audience ID
- An optional audience identifier defined by the DSP for this placement creative.
- When used in a TTD campaign integration, during the Publish Tag action, this value is pushed to the generated creatives in TTD under the parameter DynamicCreativeRuleId.
Custom Parameters: Product
Product IDs to show

- This parameter is operational only if the selected strategy in the Product Card is By Placement.

- The item IDs must exist in the feed selected in the Product Card.
- The order of products shown follows this list exactly.
