The product selection card integrates product feeds into a campaign, allowing you to select products used for dynamic campaign decisioning and creative content.
Prerequisite
- Create a product feed in your account.
Adding a Product Selection Card
A card can be added to a campaign map using one of the following options:
-
Clicking the Add Cards icon.
- This adds the card to the campaign map but does not link it to another card
-
Clicking any card's output.
- This automatically links the added card to that card
Configuring a Product Selection Card
Once a product selection card is added to a campaign, the card's Settings window opens:
- Select a product selection strategy and follow the steps in its respective article:
| Product Selection Strategy | Description |
|---|---|
| Retargeting Strategy | This strategy displays to users the products they interacted with during their visit to the advertiser's website, along with the top products from the categories they visited. |
| Retargeting Viewed Items | This strategy selects and ranks products that an identified user has engaged with, using a configurable scoring model. You can control how products are prioritized based on funnel depth, recency, and frequency. |
|
(not available in social campaigns) |
This strategy selects products based on a comma-delimited list of product IDs entered in a placement's "Products IDs to Show" custom parameter. The IDs must match products available in the product feed. |
| Select Specific Products | This strategy allows you to manually select a single product, multiple products, or all products within the feed. It uses products in the order you select them, and does not rotate them evenly. |
| Show Products from "Top Items List" | This strategy utilizes a pre-configured top items list created in the Top Items List tab of the product feed, used to promote popular items. |
|
(not available in social campaigns) |
Used in location-focused campaigns, this strategy displays varying promoted products per store or physical entity. It requires a location feed that includes a "Promoted Item IDs" column with a comma-separated list of product IDs promoted for that specific location. |
| Create Custom Matching |
This strategy selects products according to custom conditions where product item properties are compared with values from various sources (location item properties, DSP parameters, user parameters, placement parameters, etc.). When using a custom-matching strategy, the product selection card displays a new output called "Partial Success." This third output is used when the matching condition can only select a partial number of products required for the creative. Example: If the creative requires three products, but only two products meet the set condition(s), the products selected will go through the "Partial Success" card output. |
|
(not available in video or social campaigns) |
This strategy selects items from each category within a product feed's category top items list. If there are not enough categories to reach a minimum selection count, more than one item per category may be selected, with a limit of 50 categories. |
|
(not available in audio campaigns) |
These strategies select data from a sports product feed for dynamic campaign decisioning and creative content. Product selection cards using sports strategies must target a specific team and require a team name. The team name source can be the value of one of the custom parameters in your campaign's placements or a content item previously selected in a content selection card within your campaign's logic. The following sports strategies exist for programmatic campaigns:

Important: Product feed ID matching for product selection strategies is case-sensitive. Ensure exact ID matches are used.
Note: Ensure creative cards connected to the product selection card have the Product feature enabled for their templates.
