General
The DSPs and Publishers page (Account > DSP & Publishers) provides a full list of DSPs, publishers, partners, and media platforms your account is eligible to serve on.
Each DSP and publisher listed for your account is unique and pre-configured to support specific macros and campaign types, which you can reference. These pre-configurations remove the need to manually manipulate tags before trafficking.
If a DSP or publisher you want to work with isn't listed, notify your Clinch account representative as soon as possible so they can confirm whether certification is needed.
Accessing DSPs & Publishers
- Go to Account > DSP & Publishers.
DSPs & Publishers Table
The DSPs & Publishers table has the following columns:
- Partner ID
- Partner Name
- Description: Includes important information about the partner, such as data sensitivities, limitations, approved 3rd party trackers, etc.
- Type: Partner categorization (DSP, Exchange, Publisher, SSP).
- Based on Partner: Only listed in applicable cases where a publisher is using another’s technology for ad insertion capabilities. (This is mainly used for copying the supported macros from the "based on" partner).
- Supported Campaign Types: Denotes the campaign types that Clinch is certified to serve on this DSP/publisher.
Viewing DSP or Publisher Details
The View Details quick link is accessible within the DSP & Publishers table, providing additional information about the partner, such as specific publisher requirements, target platform to select for video rendering, tags and trackers supported, macros, and more.
Accessing the View Details window:
- In the DSPs & Publishers table, hover over the listed DSP or publisher and click on the View Details quicklink.
Navigating the View Details Window
The View Details window consists of two sections:
- Partner Info: Here, you can access all the information about the partner, including additional details not available in the table, such as:
- Click URL Type: Whether the DSP click tracker will be fired as an image pixel or in the click chain.
- Require no script support for display campaign: When enabled, this means that the ad tag will include a "noscript" tag section containing a fallback image creative. Setting up a campaign using this partner will require a fallback image creative, unless the entire campaign consists of images.
- Limit variations number: When enabled, this limits the number of video variations per campaign for this partner.
- Max animation length for Display campaigns (seconds):
- Specifies the maximum allowed duration for display creative animations. The default value is set at 30 seconds.
- Flight Control can use this information:
- To provide alerts to users during campaign setup if the creative duration exceeds this value.
- During real time ad serving this value is used to decide how many animation loops will be played for an HTML animated creative.
- Video VAST versions support: Indicates the VAST tag version supported by the partner.
- Macros: Here, you can see a list of macros that the DSP or publisher supports. You can use these in Flight Control to pass information to Clinch in the tag during impression. In the Macros table, you will see the following columns:
- Macro: Defines the macro placeholder string to be appended in the ad tag.
- Clinch Variable: The parameter in Clinch that the macro is mapped to.
- Allowed Campaign Types (Optional): This lists the campaign types where the macro will be added in the ad tags. If left blank, it indicates that the macro(s) will be added across all campaign type tags.
Viewing DSP Macro Health Details
The DSP Macro Health Report provides an overview of the status and validity of DSP macros used within a specific campaign on a given date. It can be used to monitor the health of the DSP macros and also help identify and troubleshoot campaign issues related to macro signals.
To generate this report, hover over a DSP in the table and select the DSP Macro Health quicklink.
Note: Only account admins can see and use this quicklink.
